Be Kind

Long back, when I passed out of college, and was preparing for the interviews, I started teaching computers at a school. One fine day, my attention was drawn to one of the student in my class of forty, who scored lowest on the end-of-year exams. I could see that he was sad as a result of his performance, so I took him aside.
I said to him: "Someone has to come fortieth in a class of forty. This year, it happens to be you who has made the brave sacrifice, so that none of your friends have to suffer the feeling of being last in the class. You are so kind for doing this, so compassionate. You deserve a medal."
We both knew that what I was saying was ridiculous, but he smiled. He didn't take it as such an end-of-the-world event any more. 😀😀
He did much better the next year, when it was someone else's turn to make the brave sacrifice.
"In a world where you can be anything, be Kind"
