"Anxiety is Thought Without Control. Flow is Control Without Thought." - James Clear
What thoughts pop into your head when you're at your absolute best, fully immersed in the moment? Pause for a bit (30-60 seconds) and think about it.
When you love what you're doing so much that you lose all sense of time and space—that's the state of complete flow. What goes through your mind when you're in this state?
In those moments of doing what you love, you're either thought-free or your thoughts just flow effortlessly. There's no separation between you and your work. If thoughts arise, they pass through seamlessly without you needing to reflect them.
It might sound crazy, but we often do our best work when we're not thinking\over thinking.
When we think too much, we overanalyze, doubt, and feel insecure. Without overthinking, we're free from the limitations of the ego and can create amazing things.
I'm not asking you to adopt this belief right away, but try it out. Experience it yourself, and you might find the insight to make it your own.
Tell me in the comments—what's going through your mind when you're in the flow?
