Most people think peace and joy are the goals of spiritual life. However, this belief may be misleading. In reality, peace and joy are not the ultimate destinations; they are the very foundation of our well-being. As humans, we are inherently peaceful and joyful beings.

If you want to enjoy your breakfast, you must be peaceful and happy.

If you want to enjoy your family, the work you do, the world that you live in, you must be peaceful and happy.

Peace and joy are not the things that you attain at the end of life; they are the essence of our existence..

So why do we often seek peace and joy outside of ourselves when they are intrinsic to our nature?

Let me try explaining this with an example - Imagine you wearing a white dress and go out in coal mines, it will get dirty, and if you are not cleaning it daily and going out like that. Over time, the dress becomes soiled, and you may forget it was ever white. Similarly, in the busyness of life, we neglect to nurture our souls and begin to search for qualities that have always resided within us.

Same is the case with love, joy, happiness and peace. By default, we humans are loveful, joyful beings. In the hustle of life, we have forgotten to charge our souls and started looking out for the qualities that have always been within us. We keep on saying, I need peace, I need to be happy & Joyful. If we meet someone we say "Pls do this so I'll be happy, Pls talk to me nicely so I'll be peaceful".

But what if we shifted our perspective?

Today, I invite you to conduct an experiment. Embrace the belief that you are a blissful, happy, and joyful person. Carry this awareness into every action, every interaction, and observe the results. Share your experiences in the comments below. Let's embark on this journey of rediscovering our inherent peace and joy together.
